ASD, Anxiety, Stress and School – What’s really happening!

Over the last few months, one of the most asked and most discussed topics on the Asperger’s Parent Connect Facebook Page is the challenge of anxiety.

Anxiety is a debilitating aspect of the diagnosis for many people living with Aspergers or Autism.   In fact it is high levels of stress and anxiety that often increase causes a number of physical responses, and for children – especially those at school – the anxiety and extreme stress is often misjudged.

In this video today, I share how anxiety impacts on children living on the Autism spectrum and how the physical reactions to extreme stress are often misjudged – making the whole scenario so much worse.

I would love to hear your thoughts about anxiety and your child.
